United Methodist Thrift Store, 304 Albert Pike, is open from 9 a. m.- 4 p. m. Tuesday- Friday and 10 a. m.- 2 p. m. Monday and Saturday. The store stocks men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and accessorie­s, household items, fabric and books ( in good condition). Clean, usable donations of clothes, housewares and small furniture are appreciate­d. Proceeds are used to assist needy families in Garland County.

ACTI/ HSRC Thrift Store, 200 Reserve Ave., is open from 10 a. m.- 3 p. m. today. Proceeds from the thrift store are used to assist clients of the Arkansas Career Training Institute/ Hot Springs Rehabilita­tion Center. There is a special room for children’s clothes. Donations may be dropped off at the store during hours of operation. Call 701- 6592 Monday, Wednesday or Friday to make a tax deductible donation.

Humane Society of Garland County Thrift Store, 2026 Central Ave., in the Freeman Center, is open from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m. Monday– Saturday. Donations of gently worn, clean clothing and shoes, jewelry, purses, antiques, home décor, household items, books, small electronic­s and nonupholst­ered furniture in good condition are accepted. All proceeds contribute to the care, veterinari­an fees and shelter for dogs and cats at the kennel facilities at 1249 Ault Loop, Lonsdale.
