Witness hosts cancer survivor weekend

-

The Witness, Arkansas’ only musical passion play now in it’s 32nd season, will pay tribute to those who have fought and won the battle against cancer.

All cancer survivors, those who are presently in the struggle, or those who have lost loved ones to cancer, along with their immediate family members, will be given free admission to the production today and Saturday.

Kathy Jones, of Hot Springs Village, will sing during both pre- shows at 8: 30 p. m. The musical production about Jesus of Nazareth, narrated and sung by the Apostle Peter, will follow at Panther Valley Ranch, 1942 Millcreek Road.

Jones is part of Rejoice, a ladies’ gospel group based in Hot Springs Village and is active in her church choir in the Village.

A six- year veteran of The Witness, she has sung with the chorus and performed the parts of Peter’s Wife and The Woman at the Well.
