Rams reach Sheridan semifinals

SHERIDAN — Lakeside scored three sixth- inning runs to break a 1- 1 tie, and went on to earn a spot in the Sheridan Wood Bat Tournament semifinals with a 5- 3 win over Cabot Saturday.

The Rams ( 10- 4) went 2- 1 in pool play, rebounding from a 10 loss to Sylvan Hills Thursday for a 10- 0, five- inning win over Benton Friday. They play at 2 p. m. today, the championsh­ip game following.

Jacob Bradshaw ( 3- 1) pitched a complete game, limiting Cabot to five hits. The Rams avenged a 10- 7 loss to the Panthers earlier this month.

Logan DeRosier’s double and Bo Ritter’s single keyed Lakeside’s sixth inning, the runs scoring on a Spencer HeckeRitte­r double steal and two errors. The Rams added a run in the seventh, Josh Walker drawing a leadoff walk, advancing on Taylor Parker’s single and scoring on a double steal.

Both teams scored in The fourth, Lakeside taking the lead on Bo Ritter’s double. Cabot scored twice in the bottom of the sixth.
