Temple hired as Public Works director

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE – Jason Temple has been hired as the director of Public Works for Hot Springs Village.

Temple was formerly vice president of engineerin­g for Atoka Inc., where he oversaw engineerin­g design, implementa­tion, bid phase and constructi­on phase services.

Temple began his duties Monday. He was introduced by Chief Operating Officer and General Manager David Twiggs at Wednesday’s Property Owners’ Associatio­n Board of Directors meeting.

“I’m glad to be here and am looking forward to tackling this job and getting the department moving forward. I’ve been meeting the staff the last few days, we’re evaluating some things, and it’s time to go to work,” Temple said at the meeting.

His previous employment includes work for the city of Texarkana as Public Works design engineer and various other engineerin­g and consulting firms.

Temple has 23 years of experience in water, water supply transmissi­on, wastewater, storm water, transporta­tion, roads, land developmen­t, environmen­tal and master planning.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineerin­g from Texas A& M.

Temple and his wife, Diane, live in the Lonsdale community. They have four children, Jessica, Mariah, Victoria and Micaiah.
