Not only abundant, golf in Hot Springs Village is amazingly affordable. Property owners can play a round of golf with a cart for less than $ 30 on any of the POA courses. A State Weeks program is also in place. If a person from a certain state visits the Village during their particular State Week, they can play golf at the property owner rate.

Hot Springs Village is home to four of the top 10 courses in Arkansas, and Isabella and Diamante were ranked nationally by Golf Digest as “Best New Courses” when they opened.

Tennis center well used

The Coronado Tennis Center is a 13- court complex with USTA- certified teaching professionals, a lounge and pavilion.

Ten of the center’s courts are clay and the remaining three are hard surface. Escape to nature

There’s plenty of ways to get out and enjoy the great outdoors on the more than 25 miles of natural, secluded trails found within the gates of Hot Springs Village

The trails are different lengths, have different grades and are located throughout the community to allow a diverse choice for residents and guests.

They include the DeSoto Multi- purpose Trail, 3.5 miles; Sonora, Emperado, Calella Multi- purpose Trail, 0.7 mile; DeSoto Marina Multi- purpose Trail, 0.7 mile; Santa Maria Cart/ Bicycle Lane, 1.3 miles; DeSoto Park weight and cardio equipment, a three- lane walking track, an exercise classroom, a 25- meter heated indoor pool, a whirlpool, steam room, sauna, and massage therapy. In addition to the men’s and women’s locker rooms, two family/ handicap dressing/ shower rooms are available. Classes include yoga, zumba and more.

Performing Arts Center a cultural experience

With a unique combination of indoor and outdoor space, the Ponce de Leon Center, located in the heart of the community, is a great destination for events. Wine tastings, art shows, weddings, dinners, ice cream socials, meetings, seminars, and classes are all just across from HSV’s performing arts center, Woodlands Auditorium.

The Ouachita Building offers space that can accommodate various size meetings, receptions and seminars. Board meetings and various community groups utilize this rental space.

Woodlands Auditorium is the Performing Arts Center in HSV. The 654- seat theater features stateofthe- art sound and lighting, and is host to approximately 75 cultural and entertainment events including Broadway- style musicals, drama, dance, vocal and choral productions. The lobby of the Woodlands is also used as an art gallery featuring the works of local artists.

DeSoto Dog Park one of newest amenities

DeSoto Dog Park is a gated, off- leash park for well- behaved and healthy dogs to exercise in a clean, safe environment. The park is open daily from dawn to dusk.

In 2012, the Friends of Hot Springs Village Dog Park was established to create this park and include volunteers from existing property owners, POA board members, and dog lovers.

A dog and owner recreation facility is a very desirable amenity for the Village and surrounding community, guests, and baby boomers seeking a place to retire, and offers many advantages.

It gives the dogs space and freedom to run with other dogs while being safely supervised, and provides owners, especially those who are older or disabled, a safe, accessible place to exercise their dog, thus improving the physical and mental health of the owner as well as that of the pet.

The dog park is an amenity that provides a place to hold “dog friendly” social events and competitions, and helps keep other park and recreation areas dog free.

The Hot Springs Village Dog Park is located in the former HSV boat and RV storage facility on DeSoto Park Drive at the base of the Lake DeSoto dam. It is across from the HSV lawn bowling facility. The site is centrally located in the Village and has easy access off DeSoto Boulevard and Toledo Drive. The storage facility was closed in July 2012 and offered a large number of advantages for the economical construction of the park.

The site is approximately 1.5- acres of level open area and is divided into two sections for use by large and small dogs. An existing parking lot is located adjacent to the park. The outside fence has been modified to provide for handicapped parking spaces just outside the park gate.

Half of the play surface in each park is covered with two to three inches of doublehammered mulch and the other half is covered by a thick crusher jaw chip stone surface, which is a fine mesh stone used for paths and bench areas. A somewhat larger smooth river pebble is used around the sitting areas and water fountain sites to facilitate drainage and prevent mud. Landscaping may be installed in the future if funds become available to allow a plant irrigation system. The park has two water fountain sites in each of the areas. One in each area near the divider fence and one near the shaded gathering area. Waste management stations are at several locations throughout each of the park sections. These consist of a dispenser with waste bags or mitts that can be used to pick up fecal matter and a repository or garbage can in which it can be deposited.

Benches for the owners have been installed at the shade structures and throughout the park and play structures for the dogs will be positioned at selected locations as funds are available.

The shade areas with their benches and proximity to a watering station will provide a place for animal lovers to congregate and be the social center of each of the park sections. The shade shelters will be installed in the spring.

Love the Life. Live the Fun.

Discover the southern hospitality of the Village at the visitor center located near the West Gate in the Cordoba Center. Volunteers are on hand seven days a week to provide a day pass, answer questions, help with literature selection or arrange a personal tour with a real estate agent.
