In the beginning …
In November 2003, Home Instead Senior Care opened for business and started the new year in 2004 with the goal of becoming the trusted source of non- medical in- home services to the seniors in Garland and Saline counties. In January 2014, Home Instead celebrated 10 years of success documented by growth in sales and results of independent evaluations conducted by J. D. Powers and Associates. Additionally, the local Home Instead Senior Care office received the Presidential Achievement Award II, which is the eighth award in a series of performance awards presented by the Home Instead Senior Care International.
Charles Underwood, owner of the local Home Instead office, stated that the steady growth of Home Instead Senior Care has come “as a result of a lot of hard work and quality service provided to our clients by carefully selected caregivers.”
In 2008, Home Instead Senior Care built a new office building on Highway 5 near the Saline County line, between the Balboa and East gates of Hot Springs Village. This location placed them in the middle of their franchise territory and provided easier access to the larger communities they serve — Benton, Bryant, Hot Springs, and Hot Springs Village. Underwood states that, “Building a permanent office building represented our vision for continued expansion and further development of the services we have to offer our clients and caregivers. In addition, it reflects our confidence in and commitment to the future success of Hot Springs, Hot Springs Village, Benton/ Bryant and the local communities in the area.”
