The bride- elect is a graduate of Lakeside High School; Marymount University in Arlington, Va., where she received a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in theology; and Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans, where she received her Doctorate of Medicine. She is employed as an internal medicine resident with Louisiana State University Medical Center.

Her fiance is a graduate of Ludwig- Maximilian­s- University in Munich, Germany, where he received a degree in law. He is employed with Gulf Coast Marine LLC in Metairie, La.
