Fall Arts & Craft Fair set for Saturday

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Fall Arts & Crafts Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Coronado Community Center, 150 Ponderosa Way.

A great selection of goods from local area vendors will be available, including jewelry, pottery, woodworkin­g, sewing and painting. The fair is a great place to purchase one-of-a-kind gifts for family and friends.

Bargains galore offered at book sale

Sponsored by the Friends of the Coronado Center Library, the annual fall book sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Coronado Center Library, 150 Ponderosa Way.

The sale will feature a large selection of paperbacks and hardcover books, many in new condition, and all at rock-bottom prices. There will be a variety of genres available, including mysteries, romance, westerns, general fiction, biographie­s, memoirs, cookbooks, histories, and children’s literature, in addition to a selection of audio books and DVDs.

During the last hour of Saturday’s sale, plastic shopping bags will be provided for customers to fill with their choice of the remaining books at just $3 a bag. The clearance will continue on Monday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All proceeds benefit the Coronado Center Library.

Musical duo performs at Waypoint Saturday

Kenny T. and Courtney O. will present a free concert at noon Saturday in The Waypoint at DeSoto Marina, 120 Marina Road.

This local duet brings traditiona­l sound to contempora­ry audiences in Hot Springs and surroundin­g areas.

Evening Lions slate Basketball Tip-Off

The Hot Springs Village Evening Lions Club will present its annual Basketball Tip-Off Classic beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Jessievill­e Sports Arena.

Competing teams will be Cossatot River vs. Jessievill­e (girls); Cossatot River vs. Jessievill­e (boys); Lake Hamilton vs. Fountain Lake (girls); Riverview vs. Fountain Lake (boys).

Competitio­n will be continuous until completed.

Tickets may be purchased at the door.

Merry Mixers dance features Larry House

The Merry Mixers Dance Club will feature live music by Larry House during its Saturday event in the Coronado Community Center, 150 Ponderosa Way. A short lesson will begin at 7 p.m., followed by open dancing at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $10 each. As all dancers are welcome, those who live outside Hot Springs Village can call 501-9158111 to get access through the gate.
