OUTSTANDING ALUMNI

Shirley Tipton, right, of Hot Springs, was awarded the Outstanding Alumni award for the University of Arkansas Community College in Morrilton during the Arkansas Community Colleges 20156 conference at the Hot Springs Convention Center in October. Tipton graduated from UACCM in 2003 with an Associate of Arts in General Education and later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Central Arkansas and a Master of Science in Education from Henderson State University. She is now a licensed K-12 art teacher and has worked for the Horatio School District since 2006. Natalie Prall, left, of Conway, was named the UACCM Academic All-Star award winner.
