Who is Lee Kathryn Hall?

I was born in Memphis and raised in Jonesboro. I am a graduate of Jonesboro High School and The University of Central Arkansas. While at UCA, I was a member of Alpha Sigma Tau sorority and served as music chairman. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Health Education in May 1997 and became a Certified Health Educator (CHES) in 1998. I spent about 10 years of my career working in pharmaceutical sales for Bristol Myers Squibb and Sanofi-Aventis, before moving to Hot Springs in 2010 to work for then-St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital as the senior business development specialist. I live in Hot Springs with my husband, Russell Hall, and our two children, Tish Hall and Jack Henry Frisby. I am grateful also to have my aunt and uncle, Sharon and Mickey Cissell, in Hot Springs, because the rest of their family is in eastern Arkansas and in the Memphis area.

I look back on my life, and I don’t have a memory of a time when volunteer work was not a part of it … it’s just what I love to do. I am an active member in the Oaklawn Rotary Club and in the First United Methodist Church of Hot Springs. I serve on the HOPE Ambassadors Board for The American Cancer Society and I am coming up on my fifth year in chairing the American Cancer Society’s “Summer In Hot Springs” Gala, which supports the fundraising efforts of Garland County Relay For Life. I also serve on the board of directors for Safe Haven Shelter for Women and Children, as well as the Advisory Board for Arkansas Hospice. This is a tremendous honor for me to be recognized by The

Sentinel-Record, and I would like to extend my sincerest thanks.

What one experience in your life really defined you?

I experienced a very serious car accident while I was four months pregnant with my son, Jack Henry. I now truly appreciate my life every single day, and I cherish seeing my now 11 year son, grow and flourish. I am certainly acutely aware how very blessed we both are to be healthy after that accident. That experience just made me really “into” LIVING!

What do you love about Hot Springs?

The history, the charm, the diversity and culture, the art, the lakes, the scenery, and for us Lakeside Schools!

What do you enjoy doing for fun and relaxation?

My family and I love spending time together on Lake Hamilton. My in-laws have created a special place at their lake house for all of us to share.

Tell us something few people know about you.

My college friends would know, but probably a lot of people in Hot Springs do not know that I wrote and recorded a country album during my sophomore year at University of Central Arkansas. The extra copies of the CD have been buried deep in the ground in an undisclosed location!

Where do you see Hot Springs 20 years from now?

My 20-year prediction for Hot Springs is TREMENDOUS growth. The recent hyper focus on the development of our downtown area is so invigorating to me. I can see big developers coming into our area to get in on the excitement of growing Arkansas’ premiere tourist destination!
