Who is Betsy Atkins?

I grew up in Alexander City, Ala., which is a small town between Auburn and Birmingham. I graduated high school and attended the University of Alabama (Roll Tide). I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. After graduation, I moved to Park City, Utah to live with my sister who owns a ski shop to work for a summer. I met someone there who is now my husband, Ryan Atkins. Needless to say, that one summer turned into three years. Once Ryan and I made the decision that we wanted to be together and marry, we knew we wanted to move “home” or back to the South. Ryan grew up in Texarkana but grew up coming to the lake in Hot Springs as a child. I came to visit with him once and knew that this is where we wanted to make our home. I immediately applied for the events director position with the chamber and started my chamber career. Once settled at the chamber, Ryan and I started a family and now have one little three year old named William.
