Computer Club instructors to speak on new classes
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Computer Club of Hot Springs Village will hold a meeting Wednesday in the Coronado Community Center, 150 Ponderosa Way.
Club instructors will lead a presentation to inform attendees about this year’s winter session classes.
The meeting will open with social time and a help desk at 6 p.m. A short business meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m., then the program will begin.
Bill Evans will discuss the entry-level class “Introduction to Computers,” set to begin Feb. 2. Students will also be able to use the left and right mouse functions and explain the capabilities of each to others.
Evans will also teach the class “Organizing Your Photos and Documents” later in the winter session.
Other meeting presentations are set to include Dennis Simpson, speaking on “Safe Internet Searching, Facebook, and Social Media.” Rob Tillotson will inform about “Windows Essentials,” a two-part session utilizing Windows 10, along with “Basic Excel Spreadsheet.”
Renee Steinpreis will present on “Use of iPhone and iPad,” and “Easy Editing with Picassa.” Derrell Dean will give a talk about “Android Basics for Phones and Tablets,” in addition to “Protecting Your Computer and Data.” Both Erwin Hoeft and David Kirsch will offer attendees information on their class, designed to offer a deeper understanding of the Kindle Fire.
