Rebecca A.M. Amos
MALVERN — Rebecca Ann McCloud Amos, age 74, Malvern, went to home to be with her Lord, Sunday April 2, 2017, at her home.
She was born Feb. 10, 1943, in Malvern, the daughter of Carl Sterling and Lois Virginia (Slate) McCloud. She was a Malvern High School graduate Class of 1961. She was a retired rehab instructor at Benton Service Center. Member of Sulphur Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Rebecca enjoyed reading, movies and sewing doll clothes.
A celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, at Sulphur Springs Missionary Baptist Church, 4340 Malvern Road, Hot Springs, Ark., with Brother Darryle Sulton officiating.

A memorial service for Larry Carrington, 60, of Hot Springs, who died Friday, March 31, 2017, will be noon Wednesday at Hot Springs Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating.

Jessie Emmett
Jessie Emmett, 77, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2017.
She was born March 23, 1940, in Victoria, Ark., to Louis and Lilly Easley. Jessie was a devoted Christian. She retired from Weyerhaeuser, where she worked for 28 years.
She is predeceased by her parents and husbands, Jack Emmett and James Crump.
Loving survivors include her daughter, Sheryll Swindle; sons, Terry Crump and Jimmy Crump, all of Hot Springs; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Crestview Cemetery.

CAMDEN — Isaiah Green Jr., 60, of Camden, died March 31, 2017.

Charles R. Hogan
BISMARCK — Charles Ray Hogan, a giant teddy bear, 36, of Bismarck, Ark., passed away on March 31, 2017, in Opelousas, La.
He was born Jan. 28, 1981, in Houston, Texas, to John Hogan Sr. and Sherry Tiller. Charles was a very loving, kind and gentle man, who was loved dearly by all that knew him. Liam says, “I love you.” Charles would always say, “It builds character” and “Stay loose.”
Charles was preceded in death by his father, John Hogan Sr., and uncle, Timothy R. Hogan.
Survivors include his wife, Brandi Hogan; children, Brittany Hogan, Jaden Hogan, Liam Hogan, all of Bismarck; mother, Sherry Tiller, of Hot Springs; siblings, John Hogan Jr., of South Carolina, Tracy Hogan, of Freeport, Texas, James Hogan, of Surfside, Texas, A.J. Hilton and Levi Hilton, both of Nocona, Texas; grandmother, Katie Hogan; aunts, Cheryl Griffith, Jackie Hogan, all of Saint Jo, Texas, Debbie Renard, of Abbeville, La.; uncle, John Edson, of Abbeville, La.; and many cousins.
A celebration of Charles’ life will be 4 p.m. today at the home of Roxanne and Gilbert Garrett.

Parker L. Kious
O’FALLON, Ill. — Parker Len Kious, 84, of O’Fallon, Ill., born July
24, 1932, in Pana, Ill., passed away March 31, 2017, in Belleville, Ill.
Parker was a graduate of Taylorville High School and Illinois College in Jacksonville, Ill. Parker joined the United States Army in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1954. Parker was employed by the State of Illinois for
37 years, retiring as the Director of Research and Fiscal Information for the Office of Comptroller. Parker was a former member of the Village Board of Trustees as well as the Rochester, Ill., School Board. He was a Cub Master for the Cub Scouts and coached both little league and senior league baseball. Parker was a charter member of Rochester Lions Club, as well as a member of the Fairview Heights Elk Lodge 664.
Parker was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Parker and Helen Kious, nee Minnis; and one brother, Robert Kious.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Roberta Kious, nee Hoover, whom he married on Sept. 18, 1954, in Taylorville, Ill.; one son, Kevin (Patty) Kious, of Collinsville, Ill.; one sister, Patricia Hartel, of Taylorville, Ill.; two grandchildren, Wesley (Garrett) Gosselink, of Lisle, Ill., and Marci (John) Reiter, of Cleveland, Tenn.; and four great-grandchildren, Parker Gosselink, Reed Gosselink, Alyson Reiter and J.R. Reiter.

Robert L. Kortenber Jr.
Robert Louis Kortenber Jr., 81, of Hot Springs, passed away on April 1, 2017. He was the son of Robert L. and Carlene Kortenber.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Charles Kortenber; sister, Linda Glover; and son, Michael Kortenber.
He was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School and attended college at Arkansas State University and Kansas University.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy; son, Bobby (Kacky) Kortenber; daughter, Michelle Kortenber Laney; grandchildren, Nick (Lindsay) Kortenber, Katie (Justin) Lamb and Lindsey (Jason) Pelton; great-grandson, Billy G. Kortenber; and great-granddaughter, Kennedy Pelton.
Robert was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s name to St. John Catholic School.
Mass will be at St. John’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, officiated by Father Y.C.
Burial will be held in the Catholic Cemetery in Pine Bluff at a later date.

Bobby Womack
Bobby Womack, born in Hot Springs, Ark., on Oct. 23, 1957, went home to be with the Lord, April 1, 2017.
A graduate from Hot Springs High in 1976. Bobby is survived by his wife, Lynda, and three children, Toby, Tiffany, Charity; and several grandchildren. Four brothers, Billy, Larry, Jimmy, Jason, and two sisters, Nancy, Kathy; and several nieces and nephews.
The viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. today, April 4.
