JoAnn Elizabeth (Jones) Farr, 81, of Hot Springs, passed away Oct. 26, 2017.

She was born Sept. 14, 1936, in Hot Springs, the daughter of Ivy and Thomas Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Farr; brother, Bobby Jones; and sisters, Dorothy Nesser and Beatrice Eaglin; niece, Margaret Zamany; and nephew, Jimmy Eaglin

Survivors include sons, David Farr, Warren Farr, Mike (Janice) Farr; two granddaugh­ters, Brittany Rusher and Tera (Brent) Drain; and one grandson, Tyler Farr; five great grandchild­ren, Lainey and Molly Rusher and Brooks, Gavin and Garren Drain; one brother-inlaw, Harold Nesser; one sisterin-law, Jayne Triplet; and a host of nieces and nephews; lifelong friends, Betty Burris and Pearl Franklin.

JoAnn retired from National Rejectors and was owner of Ernie’s Body Shop and Wrecker Service. Baptist by faith, she was known for her laughter and smile. In recent years, she lived for her great-grandkids and the joy they brought to her life. She enjoyed going to antique shops, looking for all kinds of collectibl­es, but especially dishes, she LOVED shopping, shopping and more shopping and enjoyed going out to eat. Rain, sleet or snow, you would find her at Vermon’s Hair Salon every Friday morning for the past 30-plus years.

A very special thank you to Arleva Bates-Craven, Arleca Bates and Chloe Cockman for taking such wonderful and loving care of JoAnn during her last month of life.

A visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. today at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Pastor Mark Maybrey officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearer­s will be Joey Barnett, Brent Drain, Eddie Jones, Tyler Farr, Mike Bechel and James Bechel. Honorary pallbearer­s will be Gary Thomas, Harold Nesser, Al Counts, Tiger Barnett and Cobra Barnett.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lake Hamilton Rehabilita­tion and Kindred Hospice. We also want to thank Katie C., Lana and Shelly of Kindred Hospice for the wonderful care, not only to JoAnn, but for the family as well. Ra’Sheuna, thank you for lighting up JoAnn’s Tuesdays. She always loved having her nails and toenails painted, and that made her day when you came to do that.
