Sharon M. Spalding

Sharon M. Spalding, age 53, of Hot Springs, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2017.

She was born on Nov. 12,

1963, in Raleigh, N.C., the daughter of Rex Upchurch and Wanda Lambert Upchurch. On June 3, 1983, she married Larry Spalding. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sharon was a homemaker and a member of Piney Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Larry Spalding; her son and daughter-inlaw, Travis and Katie Spalding; her daughter, Courtney Spalding, all of Hot Springs; two grandchildren, Brady Spalding and Jacob Spalding, both of Hot Springs; her 99 year old Maternal Grandmother, Wilma Chote, of Hot Springs; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Ken Upchurch, of Hot Springs, and Keith and Wilma Upchurch, of Emory, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Sonya and Terry Chase, of Woodstock, Ga.; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at

10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Brother Larry Catcher officiating.

Interment will be in Lowe Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from

6-8 p.m. Monday evening.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Millard, James Wood, Rick Albaugh, Lou Cordero, Bill House and Greg Cowart.

Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons and members of Piney Baptist Church; Dr. Gregory V. Whorton; all the staff of LifeNet; and the staff of CHI St Vincent Hospital and CHI St Vincent 70 West Clinic.
