Tri-Lakes CASA to host 14th annual Ornamental Affair

Tri-Lakes CASA for the children of Garland, Hot Spring and Grant counties will host its 14th annual Ornamental Affair to benefit children in foster care in need of CASA’s advocacy.

The event is set for 5:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Hamp Williams Building, 510 Ouachita Ave.

The evening’s activities will include a silent auction, hors d’oeuvres including barbecue sliders, cocktails and live music. Over 50 local artists have prepared holiday ornaments and special art pieces for this signature event and each will be included in the silent auction.

Tickets are $15 per person. A cash bar, featuring this year’s signature cocktail, will be available.

This year’s event will include a “Wine Grab” where guests can pay $20 to choose a numbered card from a basket to win the corresponding bottle of wine. Everyone wins.

To date, the Ornamental Affair has raised thousands of dollars for the CASA program, providing critical funds to continue recruiting, training, engaging and supervising one of the most robust corps of CASA advocates in the state, a news release said.

According to Cherri Mertz, chairwoman of the CASA fundraising committee, “This night is a year-end celebration of our children, our community and our future. The event has become a night of fun, food, music and art for hundreds of supporters.”

Hope, Joy and Cheer sponsorships are available. Hope Sponsors of $2,500 will receive two reserved tables for 10 at the gala, 20 complimentary cocktails, acknowledgment before and during the event, a banner for their sponsorship online with a link to the sponsor’s website, a banner at the event, the opportunity to welcome attendees as part of the evening’s program and a full-page ad in the event program.

Joy Sponsors of $1,000 will receive one reserved table for 10 at the gala, 10 complimentary cocktails, a banner at the event, acknowledgment before and during the event and a full-page ad in the event program.

Cheer Sponsors of $500 will receive a reserved table for 10, acknowledgment before and during the event, a one-half page ad in the event program and complimentary cocktails for ten.

Reserved tables for 10 are available for $200 and include 10 complimentary cocktails.
