Hot Springs Carousel Readers’ Theater entertains audiences with performances emphasizing humor and enthusiasm. The group is unique in that actors remain behind music stands, acting out characters using facial expressions, voice and gestures. There is limited memorization since actors have scripts in front of them. People of all ages interested in theatrical study and performance are welcome to attend meetings from 10:30 a.m. to noon Fridays at Garland County Library. Cast members have appeared at Gallery Walk, civic clubs, churches and school groups, assisted living and nursing facilities, and other celebrations of the arts. Appearances are free, however, donations are welcome to cover expenses. Members are interested in appearing for fundraising events.
