Local author Clark to hold Christian Writer’s Workshop

-

Local author Terri Clark will hold a Christian Writer’s Workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 17 at Trinity Church, 670 Panama St.

The cost to attend is $40; lunch is included.

As an accomplished author, Clark has published two books, been a columnist in a national Christian publication for seven years and has written articles in several print and online magazines. Her latest book, “Fanning the Flame; Reigniting Your Faith in God,” was just released in October.

The workshop will cover a variety of topics, including publishing options, self publishing versus traditional publishing, with pros and cons, the publishing process, fiction and nonfiction book proposals, writing for periodical magazines, writing genres, literary agents and editors.

Clark said she is holding the workshop in response to requests she has received for help with writing and being published.

“Do you have a book in you? A message, a story or an idea? I’m often asked how to go about writing a book and getting it published. Whether you want to write your story for your family or publish a book to sell, this one-day writer’s workshop for local writers will help you get those words out of your head and into print,” she said in a news release.

Clark is president and founder of Terri Clark Ministries Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. All proceeds from the workshop go toward Clark’s ministry and will benefit her work in Uganda.
