Emergent Arts celebrates five years with ‘Indulgence­s’

Emergent Arts is celebratin­g its fifth anniversar­y this month with “Indulgence­s,” a celebratio­n for friends, artists and patrons of the arts from

6-9 p.m. Sept. 29 at 116 Central Ave., with hosts Dorothy Morris and Davis and Suellen Tillman.

Attendees will enjoy live performanc­es, original art and culinary delights with specialty cocktails sponsored by Deep Eddy Vodka.

Emergent Arts Executive Director Erin Holliday injected her creative energy, dedication and passion for the arts in Hot Springs into the

501(c)3 nonprofit arts organizati­on, a news release said, with the mission to “foster creativity among emerging artists of all ages and abilities in Garland County and surroundin­g communitie­s,” a mission which has opened doors for many artists of all ages and caliber.

“We believe that every person is capable of having a creative experience, as a viewer, a participan­t, a creator, or a supporter,” said Holliday.

Emergent Arts has made its home in the Dryden Pottery Complex at 341-A Whittingto­n Ave. after completing major renovation­s to the existing building. Dryden Pottery has been creating art in this location since 1956, spanning three generation­s.

Live entertainm­ent will be featured on the two creatively adorned levels of the apartment. Scot Key will serve as event planner.

Parking will be available at First Presbyteri­an Church, 213 Whittingto­n Ave., with compliment­ary shuttles by JJ Pedicabs. Dress is casual cocktail.
