HSV Lifelong Learning plans programs
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Lifelong Learning Institute of Hot Springs Village is expanding its offerings this fall by presenting programs in its new Tuesday series of “Lifelong Learning Institute Talks.” Many are free and open to the public.
According to Lifelong Learning Institute director Larry Wilson in the press release, “LLI programs are informative and entertaining. It’s a great way to have fun, learn something, and meet other interesting people. We are especially excited about this fall’s Tuesday series of LLI Talks, most of which are free.”
At 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Coronado Center, will be a free presentation of an array of documentary films.
“Grillin’ and Smokin’ with Joey Clampit” will be held at Clampit’s Country Kitchen on Highway 7 from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 2. This special event is limited to 15 people.
At 2 p.m. Oct. 9, author James Scott (“Target Tokyo”) will present a free program based on his new book about Douglas MacArthur. Scott’s presentation will be at the Ouachita Room in Ponce de Leon Center.
A free program titled “Arkansas Courts and Community Initiative” with Judge Wade Naramore will explain the court system in Arkansas at Coronado Center at 2 p.m. Oct. 16.
The Lifelong Learning Institute of Hot Springs Village is in a partnership affiliation with Henderson State University to encourage Villagers to enrich their minds through customized community education. Each program is based on feedback from Villagers to provide fun, fellowship and learning opportunities for accomplished adults.
