Vote now in Kiwanis Club ‘Sexy Legs’ contest

-

The Kiwanis Club of Hot Springs is sponsoring The First Annual Greater Hot Springs Sexy Legs Contest. With each vote costing $1, the Kiwanis Club is allowing the public to decide whose legs are the most terrific. All proceeds benefit the TERRIFIC Kid program, a Kiwanis-sponsored program which promotes character development, self-esteem and perseverance.

“T.E.R.R.I.F.I.C.” is an acronym for Thoughtful, Enthusiastic, Respectful, Responsible, Inclusive, Friendly, Inquisitive and Capable. The TERRIFIC Kid program provides teachers and counselors with a tool to reward students who may otherwise go unnoticed. It is a tool for recognizing the practicing of good character in an environment which most often is focused almost exclusively on academic achievement. When students embrace learning and practicing good character, their behavior in the classroom, school grounds and at home improve.

Voting can be made by visiting the contestants various places of business with contributions to the TERRIFIC Kids collection cans (see below photo) or by contacting Donna Lawrence, president of The Greater Hot Springs Kiwanis Club at 727-410-1516 or any Kiwanis member.

The winner will be announced on Nov. 13 at a chili supper at the Elks Lodge at 6 p.m. The real winner will be the TERRIFIC Kid program and the children who will benefit from learning that good behavior is reward in and of itself.
