Arkansas hunting license descriptio­ns, fees

Combinatio­n Sportsman’s License (CS)

• Entitles holder to the privileges of the Resident Sportsman’s License (RS) and the Resident Fisheries Conservati­on License (FSH). Valid through June 30.

• $35.50; obtain online, through dealers and regional offices.

Resident Sportsman’s License (RS)

• Entitles the holder to hunt all game species using modern gun, muzzleload­er or archery, and to take a total bag limit of deer. Valid through June 30. Six deer tags and two turkey tags are included with this license.

• $25; obtain online, through dealers and regional offices.

Resident Wildlife Conservati­on License (HNT)

• Entitles the holder to hunt furbearers, migratory birds, quail, rabbit and squirrel and take one deer. Valid through June 30. One deer tag is included with this license.

• $10.50; obtain online, through dealers and regional offices.

General WMA Hunter Use Permit (WMP)

• Entitles the holder to hunt, fish, trap, or boat all wildlife species during open seasons on all WMAs. Valid through June 30. Additional permits may also be required to hunt deer or turkey on these areas.

• Free; obtain online and through regional offices.

Resident Trapper’s Permit (TP)

• Entitles the holder of a resident hunting license to trap furbearers. Valid through June 30. Not required to hunt furbearers.

• Free; obtain online and through regional offices.

Resident Hunting Guide License (GLH)

• Entitles a resident to guide, aid or assist another person, for pay or other considerat­ion, in taking any species of wildlife on land which is NOT commission-owned or controlled, including WMAs, WDAs and WRAs. The GLH does not include hunting privileges. Expiration date is June 30.

• $25; obtain through regional offices.

Resident Special Hunting Guide License (GLS)

• Entitles a resident to the same privileges as the GLH, plus the privilege to guide, aid or assist another person, for pay or other considerat­ion, in taking any species of wildlife, except waterfowl, on all commission-owned or controlled WMAs, WDAs and WRAs. The GLS does not include hunting privileges. Proof of residency in the state of Arkansas for one year prior to the applicatio­n date is required. Expiration date is June 30.

• $150; obtain through regional offices.

Deferred Hunter Education License (DHE)

• A one-year permit that allows a person without hunter-education certificat­ion to legally hunt. It may be renewed each year.

• Free; obtain online or through dealers, regional offices.

Nonresiden­t Annual All Game Hunting License (NBG)

• Entitles the holder to hunt all game species, including bear, using modern gun, muzzleload­er or archery. Valid through June 30. Six deer tags and two turkey tags are included with this license.

• $350; obtain online or through dealers, regional offices.
