Due to the Veterans Day holiday being observed on Monday, residential solid waste collection and Earth Angel residential recycling collection will run one day behind schedule (Monday on Tuesday, Tuesday on Wednesday, etc.). Call 501-321-6911 for more information.

Last week the Earth Angels of Hot Springs recycled:

• 123 pounds — Aluminum cans.

• 3,071 pounds — Newspaper.

• 737 pounds — Corrugated cardboard.

• 368 pounds — Plastic No. 1 and No. 2.

• 35,020 pounds — Yard waste.

Commercial cardboard recycling

• 71,960 pounds — Commercial cardboard.

A total of 55.64 tons of recyclable materials were kept out of the landfill.
