Danny S. Vaughn

PEARCY — Danny Smith Vaughn, age 74, of Pearcy, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Nov.

7, 2018.

He was born on Jan. 12,

1944, in Glenwood, the son of Hilrey Vaughn and Rosa Lee Burchfield Vaughn. On June

5, 1964, he married JoAnne Coffman. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Odell Vaughn.

Danny was a member of the Airport Road Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon and elder for over 30 years. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 26 years of service.

He was a strong man of faith and an example to everyone who knew him. Danny devoted his life to his family and church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Danny is survived by his wife of 54 years, JoAnne Vaughn, of Pearcy; his daughter, Paige Vaughn, of Pearcy; his son, Chad Vaughn, of Hot Springs; one grandson, Haden Vaughn, of Hot Springs; his sister, Jo Nell Driggers, of Pearcy; one nephew, Tom (Gina) Driggers, of Fayetteville; numerous extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Airport Road Church of Christ with Jack Smith and Festus Ugbade officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be the elders of Airport Road Church of Christ, Tim Togami, Alan Dishongh, Glen Barber, Bill Brannon, Donnie Pogue Jr. and Festus Ugbade.

Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Airport Road Church of Christ.

The family would like to thank the staff of ICU at National Park Medical Center.
