Kiwanis Club holds first ‘Sexiest Legs’ fundraiser

The Greater Hot Springs Kiwanis Club recently held the First Annual Sexiest Legs Contest benefiting the area Terrific Kids Program.

Mark Sanders of Sander’s Plumbing had the most $1 votes, taking home the coveted Leg Lamp. Cpl. Joey Williams of the Hot Springs Police Department was a close second, Scott Seller of Seller Eye Clinic third, and a sweet honorable mention to Will Byrd of Will’s Cinnamon Rolls.

“The Kiwanis Club would like to thank all of those who participat­ed by showing their legs or by giving a donation vote. Every year the Greater Hot Springs Kiwanis Club purchases Terrific Kids Program material to be distribute­d to Garland County school districts. Terrific Kids is a student-recognitio­n program that promotes character developmen­t, self-esteem and perseveran­ce. ‘Terrific’ is an acronym for Thoughtful, Enthusiast­ic, Respectful, Responsibl­e, Inclusive, Friendly, Inquisitiv­e and Capable,” a news release said.

The sexy leg participan­ts included Herb Carey, Elks Lodge No. 380, Scott Burton, Merrill Lynch, Steve Burns, Hot Springs Sports Medicine, Joey Williams, Hot Springs Police Department, Mark Sanders, Sanders Plumbing Supply, Will Byrd, Will’s Cinnamon Shop, Alan Spraggins, Edward Jones, Greg Bearss, LakePointe Church, Brian Canales, Edward Jones, Brian Reilly, Family Care Chiropract­ic Center, Carl Crow, Crow & Durbin Law, Curtis Ridgway, Orr Toyota, Dedrick Johnson, student sponsored by Spa City Fun Chorus, Eric Wegner, Hot Springs Health & Fitness, Garland County Sheriff Mike McCormick, Nick Dodd, First American Insurance, Scott Parker, Parker Family Dentistry, Scott Seller, Seller Eye Clinic, Terrance Peck, National Forest Service, and Zac Smith, SQZBX and KUHS Radio.
