Thelma O. Dunn

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — Thelma Odell Dunn, 105, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., passed away Dec. 4, 2018.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Benton, Ark.

Dan Harris

POINT CEDAR — Dan Harris, age 80, of Point Cedar, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018.

He was born on Aug. 1, 1938, in Bolivar, Mo., the son of Joe and Verda Harris. On Oct. 5, 1957, he was married to Joycelyn Marie “Joyce” Cummings. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Harris; his parents; and four brothers, J.R., Jerry, Dean and Roy Harris.

He was a resident of Point Cedar for 43 years. He enjoyed outings, barbecues and gatherings with his family. He was loved and will be missed by all.

Survivors include four children, Cindy Johns, of Bismarck, Derrell Harris, of Butler, Mo., Jimmy Harris and Johnny Harris, both of Point Cedar; and seven grandchild­ren; 15 great-grandchild­ren.

A gathering of friends and family will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Harris home, 434 Beech Drive, Amity, Ark., located in the Point Cedar community.

Cremation arrangemen­ts were under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Glenwood.

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — Gary Pionke, 61, of Hot Springs Village, passed away Dec. 3, 2018.

Survivors include his wife, Lilly Lowe; stepchildr­en, Bryan (Peggy), Phillip (Debbie), Joseph (Naomi) and Stephen (Yuu) Lowe; and three grandchild­ren.

Memorial service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at Millcreek Baptist Church with Don Steed officiatin­g.

Katherine D. Sherrill-Bernard, age 79, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at her residence in Hot Springs.

Terry Wallace

Legendary track announcer, Terry Wallace, of Hot Springs, Ark., earned his Triple Crown on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, after a lengthy illness.

A rosary will begin at 2:30 p.m. Monday at St Mary’s of the Springs. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 3 p.m.

Bonny J. Young

Bonny Jean Young, age 85, of Hot Springs, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018.

She was born July 20, 1933, in Grandview, Ill., to the late Glen and Ethel Hicks Selders.

She is survived by her husband, Allen Young, of Hot Springs; her daughter, Deborah Mandler, of Benton; three grandchild­ren, Rebecca Hammons, Shannon Utterback and Timothy Miller; four great-grandchild­ren and extended family.
