James (Jimbo) Myers, age

90, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Dec. 31, 2018. He was born in Alton, Mo. on Sept.

27, 1928. He fought in the Korean and Vietnam wars. After

21 years in the U.S. Military, he retired and relocated to Hot Springs, Ark. in 1973.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother, and his son, James Neal.

He is survived by one brother, Bill (Mary) Myers of Farmington, Mo.; daughter, Nora Sheffield; grandchild­ren, Sarah (Jimmie) Hollandswo­rth, Eric Brown, all of Hot Springs, Ark.; great grandchild­ren, Kaylee Nichols of Memphis, Tenn., Kynzie Hollandswo­rth of Hot Springs, Ark. and several nieces and nephews.

He loved many things in life but the one thing he loved the most was his family. Two things he loved almost as much as he loved his family was Classic Country music and the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved to bowl and do crossword puzzles, and he loved to cook. He was an amazing chef. He will be greatly missed.

The family of James would like to give special thanks to Dr. Richard Finch and staff; Dr. Rajesh Shroff and staff; Kindred Home Health and Hospice for all the love and care you gave to him.

The memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday Jan.

4, 2019.
