P.E.O. Chap­ter CY of Hot Springs Vil­lage spon­sored and pre­sented a Pro­gram for Con­tin­u­ing Ed­u­ca­tion Grant to Lil­lian Al­der­man, sec­ond from left, in the amount of $1,400. Al­der­man will grad­u­ate with a master’s de­gree in school coun­sel­ing from the Univer­sity of Arkansas at Lit­tle Rock in De­cem­ber 2019. The P.E.O. Pro­gram for Con­tin­u­ing Ed­u­ca­tion was cre­ated to pro­vide need-based grants to women in the U.S. and Canada whose ed­u­ca­tions have been in­ter­rupted and who find it nec­es­sary to re­turn to school to sup­port them­selves and their fam­i­lies. Al­der­man was pre­sented the grant by Glenda Reed, left, com­mit­tee chair­man, Jean­nie Nel­son and Bet­tie Ann Har­wood, com­mit­tee mem­bers.
