OBHAW grant funding helps cover costs in times of crisis
Ouachita Behavioral Health and Wellness has multiple grant sources that can help cover the cost of most of its services for those who qualify, according to a news release.
These services range from outpatient counseling, psychiatric services to substance abuse treatment. The grants are specifically targeted for noninsured and underinsured individuals.
“If an individual has a need for counseling or mental health services and does not have insurance, is underinsured or does not have coverage for a needed service we can help! Not able to pay your copay? We can help with that too,” the release said.
“We realize due to the COVID-19 crisis that there are many individuals that need help due to the extreme stress and anxiety in our world right now. These grants are in place to help those who are in need of treatment and services so they can keep going during this crisis.
“If you or someone you love is suffering from an opioid addiction and cannot stop using, a medication-assisted treatment program may be the best route to recovery. If you do not have insurance, we have grant funding that will cover all program costs. If you do have insurance but cannot afford you copays or other costs of the program, we have grant funding for you as well,” the release said.
“I feel like this program really is a Godsend. I don’t know what I would have done without being able to come here. My life has improved so much and I couldn’t be more grateful for y’all and the grants that you guys have to help me pay for treatment,” a recent program graduate said in the release.
