Free COVID-19 tests return
Healthy Connections, which held pop-up
COVID-19 testing clinics in Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village on June 23, testing about
495 people, will return to Hot Springs and Malvern on Wednesday and Thursday for more free testing.
On Wednesday, the clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Hot Springs at Centre at Forest Lakes, 305 Forest Lakes Blvd., and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Malvern at Teeter Plaza, 900 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
On Thursday, the clinic will be held from
7 a.m. to noon in Malvern at Teeter Plaza,
900 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
According to a Healthy Connections news release, the pop-up testing sites are set up as drive-thru events.
Patients don’t leave their vehicles, and the release notes the new COVID-19 test is much easier and less painful than other tests previously given.
“No insurance information is collected and patients are through the testing area and on their way in just a few minutes. Results from these tests are being received on average in five to seven days,” the release said.
The Healthy Connections free COVID-19 testing pop-up tour began on May 21 in DeQueen and has seen more than 2,000 tests given in 10 Arkansas counties. This will be
the third visit to Hot Springs and the second to Malvern.
Additional stops are being planned throughout July. See the updated schedule and video of the new simple COVID-19 test at http://www.GetTestedFree.com.
COVID-19 testing is also being done at every Healthy Connections clinic. Copays are being waived for the testing done in the clinic. Call 888-7108220 to schedule appointments. Healthy Connections is also making COVID-19 testing available to any business that wants their employees tested. This will be done at the company site and will be free for both the company and its employees. Visit http://www.healthy-connections.org/testus to request testing.
