Lloyd Duncan Jr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 6, 2020, at his home in Largo, Md.

He was the third child born to Lloyd Duncan Sr. and Gurtha Duncan on Sept. 27, 1962, in Hot Springs, Ark. He graduated from Mountain Pine High School, where he excelled academical­ly and in sports. He accepted Christ at an early age at Hot Springs Baptist Church. After graduating high school in 1980, he went on to serve his country by enlisting in the U.S. Navy. During his service, he was stationed many places, such as Hawaii, Pensacola, Fla., and deployed while stationed in Norfolk, Va., aboard the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy to the Middle East for Operation Desert Storm. Lloyd left the Navy as CTO intelligen­ce officer and found his passion in the automobile industry. He and his wife, Evette, founded Transition­s Counseling and Mentoring Services, Inc. in Largo, Md.

Lloyd was predecease­d by his father and sister, Anna Lemons.

He is survived by his mother; wife, Evette Duncan; children, Loreal Duckett (Robert) and Rashaad; grandchild­ren, Gregory and Paiten; sisters, Reva Frazier, Antoinette Jackson (Marcais) and Gretchen Duncan; brother, Lawrence Duncan; mother-in-law, Carolyn Lee; father-in-law, John Lee; brothersin-law, Carnell Lemons Sr. and Brian Lee.

Visitation will be from 3:305:30 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at J. B. Jenkins Funeral Home in Landover, Md. Due to COVID, a private service will be held. Services will be streamed via http://www.jbjenkinsf­uneralhome.com.

Monday, Aug. 3, a private service will be held at Hot Springs Funeral Home in Hot Springs, Ark. and burial at Arkansas Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Ark.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Lloyd J. Duncan Jr. to the American Associatio­n for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Foundation.
