Dear editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate one of our native sons of Hot Springs and Lake Hamilton School. Robert (Bobby) Pellegrino, Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas Tech University in Information Systems and Technology. He received his Master of Science degree from the University of Arkansas in Food Science with an emphasis in Sensory Science. These accomplishments were followed by a Doctor’s degree from Tennessee Dresden Otorhinolaryngology and an additional Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee this year, 2020, Food Science, Emphasis: Sensory Science/Statistics.

Bobby has been published 40 times in research papers over the past several years with numerous presentations.

Dr. Pellegrino has taught at the University of Arkansas and the University of Tennessee. Bobby was a Postdoctoral Fellow, Tennessee Fellowship for Graduate Excellence (2017-2020), Valedictorian in Arkansas Tech University Computer Science department and many others.

We are overwhelmed with all the negativity in this world and right here we have an example of an outstanding young man with a super work ethic and intelligence. He comes from a great family right here in Hot Springs. He was raised here and educated in our Garland County.

Congratulations Dr. Robert (Bobby) Pellegrino.

Thank you to your parents and teachers and classmates, coaches and pastors for touching your life and allowing you to touch our lives.

Steve G. Baldwin Assistant principal, retired Hot Springs
