Reed lifts HS over Beebe

Senior Jaylia Reed put up 29 points to help Hot Springs come away with a win over Beebe Thursday.

The Lady Badgers started off strong with a 14-12 lead in the first period, extending it to 26-21 at halftime.

Arriving back to the court after break, the Lady Trojans picked up their tempo to power through the third quarter, limiting Beebe to just 6 points to take hold of the lead, 39-32. Hot Springs outscored Beebe in the final stanza, 14-11.

Jurnee Hicks and Alix Frazier added 6 points apiece. Benton (7B) 46, Lake Hamilton 39

Cameron Hale led the Wolves with 14 points, and Cole McKinley followed with 13.

Fountain Lake (JG) 30, Arkadelphi­a 21

The junior Lady Badgers struggled Thursday against Fountain Lake, trailing 8-2, but powered back to put up 11 points to the junior Lady Cobras’ 10 for an 18-13 deficit at halftime. Arkadelphi­a came up empty in the third period, sealing the game for the Cobras.

For Fountain Lake, Mary Drakes added 14 points and Paige Davis had 12 points.

Fountain Lake hosts Mena Thursday.

Fountain Lake (JG) 30, Magnet Cove 39

With the score knotted at 12-12 at the half Friday, the

junior Lady Panthers came back with more energy on the court to take their first official quarter lead at the end of the third, 18-15. The junior Lady Cobras battled back to reclaim their lead and take the victory.

Paige Davis led with 15 points and Mary Drakes had 10 points.

Fountain Lake (VB) 60, Magnet Cove 43

With a slight 12-8 edge at the end of the first period, the Cobras kept a rhythm to broadened the lead to 28-17 at halftime. Magnet Cove came back from the break with a little more spring in its step, keeping the game even in the third, but failed to overtake the Cobras in the fourth quarter.

Levi Horton paced Magnet Cove with 18 points and Colby Lambert led Fountain Lake with 17 points.

The Cobras host Ashdown Tuesday at 4: 30 p.m.

Lake Hamilton (JB) 39, Benton 31

The junior Wolves took control of the game in the first quarter for a 14-6 lead, but the junior Panthers bounced back for 18-all at halftime. Lake

Hamilton capped Benton at two points in the third, holding on to take the win.

Cooper Kindt led the junior Wolves with 20 points and Easton Hurley garnered eight points.

Lakeside (7B) 43, Hot Springs 17

Beau Brock and Ja’Various Russell led the Rams with 10 points each. Caleb Rogers tallied 8 points, Daejuan Ellis had 6 points, Tucker Young had 5 points, and Jagger Janske and Wally Wolcott added 2 points apiece.

Lakeside (7G) girls pick up pair of wins

Lakeside’s seventh grade girls took back-to-back wins against Hot Springs Thursday and Arkadelphi­a Friday.

Lakeside took a 39-13 win Thursday and a 40-6 win Friday.

Devon Garner led the Lady Rams with 14 points over Hot Springs. Belle Smith tallied 13 points, and Ella Ashcraft had 8 points with Lilly Ahlers taking charge of the defensive effort.

On Friday, Garner paced the game with 24 points, 10 steals, and went 8 for 9 from the free throw line. Ashcraft added 11 points.
