Tanner Austin Surratt, born in 1995, in Hot Springs, Ak., passed away March 11, 2021, at the age of 25. He was raised and graduated from Cutter Morning Star High School and loves the CMS community. He received a welding degree from NPCC. He was of Baptist Faith and a member of Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Tanner loved the outdoors, especially the lake, and loved fishing and motorcycle­s. He wanted to live his life to the fullest every day and often said “If I live the way I want today — I’ll have no regrets tomorrow.” Tanner cared about people, he loved them for who they were and wished the best for them. A friend once said on Tanner “What you saw was what you got with him, and what you saw, if you were lucky enough to be his friend, was a truly delightful, generous, fun-loving human being.” Tanner loved hard, he had a big heart.

Tanner is survived by his mother and stepdad, of Benton, Jennifer Bankhead Davenport and husband David; his father, John Surratt and wife, Kelly, of Morrilton, Ark.; sister, Tallulah

Leigh Surratt, whom he loved so much; and niece, Ember Skye Bankhead, which he doted on and loved time with; his maternal grandmothe­r and papa, Jane and Ervan Slaight, of Hot Springs, Ark.; maternal grandfathe­r, Butch Bankhead and wife Kathy, of Alpine, Ark.; paternal grandmothe­r, Janet Surratt, of Little Rock; stepbrothe­r, Deric Davenport and wife Jennifer (JP), and nephew, Deacon, of Fayettevil­le, Ark.; several special cousins, including, Katelynn and Baylor Rae, of Mt. Ida, Ark., Aubrie and Carter Bankhead, and Harley Hensley, all of Hot Springs, Ark., Donna Robinson and Jamie Lee Spann; special loved aunts and uncles, Deena and Matt Rae, of Mount Ida, Ark., and Scott and Marla Bankhead, of Fountain Lake, Debbie Hensley, of Hot Springs, Ark., B.J and Brit Bankhead, of Alpine, Ark., Barry and Heather Bankhead, of Kirby, Ark., their children and a host of friends; and his special stand-in moms who meant a lot to him, Paula McArty and Angie Kirk, both of Hot Springs, Ark.

Tanner’s predecease­d by aunts, Mary Surratt and Jeannie Surratt.

Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2021, by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Brother Sam Ault and Brother Darryl Sulton officiatin­g, with visitation from 2-3 p.m. Cremation to follow. Honorary Pallbearer­s are Carter Bankhead, Baylor Rae, Harley Hensley, Drew Beall, Jessie Teague, Zach Walters, Patrick Ford, Sam Larson, Michael Santamaria, Cody Machen, Jordan Hollyfield and Steven Love

Due to Tanner’s love for fishing and seeing kids learn to enjoy, in lieu of flowers we ask memorials to be made to Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation, 2 Natural Resources Dr., Little Rock, AR 72205.
