Accepting reality

-

Dear editor: Donald Trump put three judges on the Supreme Court. He thought this might help him in proving election fraud if he lost. He said as much more than once. But in the Supreme Court’s consideration of election fraud in the 2020 election, they found no evidence. Get that? Even with three appointed judges by Trump, the Supreme Court found no evidence of election fraud.

All in all, there were 60 cases, maybe more, taken to the courts and all finding no election fraud. And some of the judges deciding these cases were appointed by Donald. Do you still not believe in our courts?

In 2016, it was the same. Even though Donald won, he claimed voter fraud and had a commission put together to prove it. But still, Donald’s own commission found no voter fraud. When will reality be accepted? A person who cheats at golf, cheats on his wife, and tries to cheat to win an election can only be embraced by pseudo-Christians and pseudo-flag-waving Americans living in a world of “alternative facts.” True Christians and true Americans can see where the real fraud lies. If you believe in America, believe in who a majority of voters elect and who they don’t elect.

When we get to see how Donald cheated on his taxes, will he end up in jail? Is it where he belongs? Will people finally see a cheater for who he is? I wonder.

It is my opinion that our current president cares about the world and all Americans. What a relief to have a president who doesn’t call the press “fake news,” who calls neither the Democrats nor the Republicans “the enemy of the people,” who deals with the pandemic in a responsible way, and who recognizes global responsibilities.

It’s refreshing to not get presidential positions from tweets. The people of the world are once again embraced. For, in truth, are we not all just brothers and sisters produced by a tiny planet traveling through space?

Hope is once again alive. Bill Wiedmann Hot Springs
