Skoog to address NSDAR John Percifull Chapter
The NSDAR John Percifull Chapter will meet Thursday, with the ritual beginning at 11 a.m. The speaker will be Ned Skoog, and his program will be “Losing the Night.”

Skoog is a native and lifelong resident of Hot Springs. He is a graduate of Hot Springs High School, and he has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
“Ned has 49 years of experience in manufacturing management and process design and implementation. His manufacturing experience includes large facilities with a high degree of automation. He has a significant interest in nature preservation, conservation, and healthy outdoor opportunities, as well as being active in Hot Springs community activities,” a news release said.
He is currently on the steering committee of the statewide Arkansas Natural Sky Association, a current board member and president of the Hot Springs Friends of the Parks, a current board member of the multistate Friends of the Ouachita Trail, a past board member and president of the Hot Springs YMCA, past board member of the Garland County United Way, now United Way of the Ouachitas, as well as the Garland County Industrial Development Committee, now GCEDC. He has served on the Garland County Planning Study Committee.
“In Ned’s ‘spare’ time, he has 48 years of football officiating in high school (8 state championship games) and small college, officiating in 1 national championship game,” the release said.
