Three apartments were evacuated Wednesday on Oakcliff Street after a fire in one of the units, according to the Hot Springs Fire Department.

Hot Springs Fire Chief Ed Davis said the department received the call at 11:54 a.m. and had the fire under control at 12:25 p.m.

He said three apartments in the complex were damaged by the blaze and at least two of the damaged units were occupied.

Garland County sheriff’s deputies were the first to arrive on the scene and got everyone evacuated without injury, Davis said, noting the fire’s cause is under investigation.
