Hot Springs Toastmasters to meet Saturday morning

-

Hot Springs Toastmasters will hold its weekly club meeting at 8 a.m. Saturday and will finalize plans for its open house on May 15 at Family Park.

Both meetings will be in-person and on Zoom.

Any potential guests for the open house are asked to contact the club in advance. It will be in a covered openair pavilion, with refreshments included.

Toastmasters District 43’s annual spring conference, online again this year, recently concluded and coordinators announced dates for the next spring conference, next April.

It will be based in northwest Arkansas.

Election of club officers for the 2021-22 program year, starting July 1, is planned this week.

There is a proposed slate of officers for the coming year.

Any members who were not nominated but are interested in being potential officers should contact President Joel Newburn, 501-6209943.

The in-person part of Saturday’s meeting will be at the 1st Church of the Nazarene, 3804 Central Ave.

Visitors are welcome, at no charge, “though it is helpful if you contact us in advance, so we can plan for spacing if needed,” the release said.

The church can be accessed from the back, off Files Road.

In-person participants are asked to bring or wear a mask.

If attendance requires it, there is access to a larger room for social distancing.
