Declan J. Fisk

-

Declan Jude Fisk burst onto the stage of life as a wide-eyed remarkable bundle of joy on Dec. 17, 2014. He played harder and wondered about things harder than most people four times his age. To say he was curious and energetic would barely scratch the surface, as would saying he barely had a life at just 6 years old. He lived “FULL TILT” with boundless gusto for anything that sparked his imagination, especially all things outdoors and Lego related. Ever in motion, the wheels inside his imagination occasionally ran full throttle outside in the dirt. His greatest loves, Jesus, family and church, loved him back. To Declan, every day should have been Sunday, and everyone needed to know about Jesus’ love for them.

Declan took opportunities for learning seriously. He studied, invented, created, and expanded his knowledge with each passing moment — a watcher, a doer, a chaser, an all-boy dude. Declan graduated kindergarten as a proud Lake Hamilton School District Wolf pup — his class of 2033, experienced his potential, marveled at his creativity, and valued his undeniable kindness toward others.

Declan is preceded in death by his aunts, Amy and Sarah Fisk; and is survived by his parents, Geno and Amanda Fisk; sister, Darby Fisk; grandparents, Deborah Borsos (Hot Springs), Greg Kladis (Hot Springs), Patty Kladis (Hot Springs), Buck and Sandy Longshore (Glenwood), Gene and Val Fisk (Arkadelphia); great-grandparents, Willie Jo Anderson (Burnet, Texas), Danny and Lavola Whisenhunt (Caddo Gap); and multiple aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends.

Declan lived large and dazzled often. The announcement of his birth caught everyone off guard — a true miracle baby; but the day he jumped into Jesus’ arms on June 2, 2021, shocked and shook the community. Declan’s light shines on in the many, many lives he touched.
