Margaret A. Thompson

-

Margaret Ann Thompson, 81, passed from this life Aug. 29, 2021, to enter her eternal home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born Sept. 10, 1939, to George and Nadine (Sharp) Tucker, in Cedar Glades, but lived most of her life in Hot Springs and graduated from Cutter Morning Star High School.

To know her was to love her and she loved her family, friends and everyone alike. She had a deep-rooted love for gospel music and, when she was able, attended every gospel singing she possibly could. Most of her working career was spent at Ouachita Hospital, Urology Associates and Dillard’s. She was a long-time member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church. Her mind and soul are now at rest, as she longed for the day that she would be reunited with her parents and a multitude of loved ones as she entered Heaven’s gate.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Worley Junior Thompson; brothers, Aubrey, Eudell and Troy Tucker; and sister, Mary Lena (Tucker) Bates.

Survivors include her son, Van Thompson; granddaughter, Vanessa Smith (Tyler); great-grandchildren, Lennox, Beckham, Sutton and Sloane; sister-in-law, Lois Tucker; a very special cousin, Fern Robbins (Jackie); and a multitude of nieces; nephews; cousins; and loved ones.

A graveside service and celebration of Margaret’s life will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at Crystal Springs Cemetery, with Brother Ronnie Inman officiating, and under the direction of Caruth-hale Funeral Home, 155 Section Line Rd., Hot Springs, AR 71913.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Honorary pallbearers are the nurses and staff at Lakewood Convalescent Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grand Avenue Baptist Church, 324 Autumn St., Hot Springs, AR 71901.
