ROYAL — R Brink Meeker, 58, of Royal, Ark., passed away Oct. 12, 2021.

He was born March 31, 1963, in Hot Springs, Ark., to Max and Peggy (Barton) Meeker.

Brink retired from Sanders Plumbing in August and was the “guru” of plumbing supplies. He loved his family deeply and was always there to lend a helping hand to others. Brink would start a lot of projects, but had trouble finishing them — just ask Nancy. He enjoyed motorcycles, drag racing and Marvin the Martian.

Brink had an unbelievable aura which drew children, the elderly and animals to him. He was direct, often blunt, but did not carry a grudge. He was a kind soul.

Brink was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Peggy Martin.

Survivors include his loving wife, Nancy Meeker; children, Brandi Deaton (Donnie), Heather Turner (Smokey), Nikki Bailey (Joe), Cody Bradley; grandchildren, Alex, Heaven, Temperance, Blaine, Naomi, Logan, Blakely; siblings, Van Meeker (Carla), Mark Meeker (Tracy), Sue Caldwell (Mike), Merry Lee (Jimmy Robertson), Voneta Meeker, Nancy Jones (Brandon); fur babies, Bella and Emma; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, in Caruth-Hale Funeral Home chapel, with a celebration of life beginning at 2 p.m. with Brother Donnie Deaton officiating.

Honorary pallbearers include Chris Johnson, Eric Bowen, Ed Sanders, John McLean, Smokey Turner, Donnie Deaton, Joe Bailey, Cody Bradley and the staff of Sanders Plumbing Supply.
