Man killed in collision

A Hot Springs man was killed Tuesday night on Albert Pike Road near Gardner Street when his motorcycle collided with an SUV turning in front of him, according to an Arkansas Department of Public Safety report posted Wednesday morning.

Cleveland Lesure Stevenson, 42, operating a 2015 Yamaha motorcycle, was reportedly westbound in the inside lane of Albert Pike around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday when a 2008 Toyota that was eastbound in the inside lane reportedly made a left turn into Taco Bell, 1100 Albert Pike, failing to yield to the westbound traffic.

Stevenson’s motorcycle made contact with the Toyota on the front passenger door. Stevenson was pronounced dead at the scene and no other injuries were listed in the report. The driver of the Toyota was also not identified.

The report notes conditions were clear and dry at the time of the wreck which was investigated by Hot Springs police.
