Leroy Ennis, 82, of Hot Springs, Ark., went to meet his Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 28, 2022.

He was born Sept. 11, 1939, in Royal, Ark. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Leroy retired from Hill & Cox Corp., graduated from Lake Hamilton High School, where he loved playing basketball (No. 00), playing baseball and boxing. He loved fishing with “Little Bud” and many fishing buddies, hunting, Arkansas Razorback football and basketball, and watching NBA and SEC basketball with his daughter. He could recite sports stats of any team of any sport.

He was predecease­d by his parents: Allen Burr Ennis and Victoria Lewis Ennis; motherand father-in-law: Stahl and Ena Whittingto­n and Henry Williams; siblings, Leon Ennis, Floyd and Betty Ennis, Laverne and O’Dean Martin, and Nada and Ralph Ashley; brother-inlaw, Henry Stanley Williams.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Nancy Margaret Williams Ennis; his daughter, “Apple of his eye” Vicki Ennis Adcock of Hot Springs, “Baby Girl” Teny (Jim) Gibbs of Springdale; bonus daughter, Regina (Gary) Egleston of Jessievill­e; brother, “His little bud,” fishing partner and best friend, Gene (Sharon) Ennis of Hot Springs; sister, Debbie Spears of Hot Springs; special niece, Shelley (Philip) Ruth of Hot Springs; special nephews, Eddie (Andrea) Williams and Bart (Karen) Williams of Mount Ida; stepgrandc­hildren, Ryan (Amber) Adcock and children of Bella Vista, Shane (Camille) Adcock and children of Bella Vista; bonus grandchild­ren, Chase, Courtney, Whitley and Axton Egleston Ira, Brittney Mayberry and children, Jeremy, Jessi, Ayspen and Layton Austin, Angie Hankins, Katie and Charli Marie Reeves, Daniel, Meranda, Bella, Zoey and Sammy Rogers, and Marcus and Macie Rogers. Numerous Ennis and Williams nieces and nephews; numerous Ennis special cousins; special friends in his life: Gene and Edna Ruth Mayberry, Marty and Brookie Mayberry, Jimmy and Yvonne Rogers, Jim (Jimbo) and Pat Debruler, Mary Stryjewski and Shelby Jester, Shana Coffman and Dennis and Karen Pickering.

Special thank you to Dr. Fred Divers and the staff of Genesis Cancer Center, CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs Emergency Room doctors and staff, and LifeNet employees.

His wishes were no visitation or funeral service to be held. A celebratio­n of his life will be announced at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Garland County Humane Society or the “Forever Red” fund at Countrysid­e Animal Hospital.
