Master Gardeners name May Yard of the Month
Members of the Garland County Master Gardeners have selected the home of Steve and Trish Campbell at 342 Quail Creek as their May Yard of the Month.
“When the Campbells moved into their home 26 years ago, they started with an empty area and through much hard work and a labor of love they have created a fabulous yard. Steve build all the flower beds with several tiered areas from the back deck leading down to their pool and to the back fencing. He also installed wrought iron fencing around their entire backyard,” a news release said.
“As you walk down the side yard, you will find a multicolor row of Hydrangea plants, as well as Hosta plants, Daisy plants, Sunflowers, and Lamb’s Ears. As you walk onto the deck, there are seating areas to sit and enjoy the beautiful flowers as well as a flowing fountain, and bird feeders. There are multiple pots of flowers scattered across the deck and into the backyard that contain a variety of plants that include (but not limited to) mandala flowers, geraniums, ferns, cone flowers, lilies, Shasta daisies, succulents. In-ground plants include Gardenia bushes, Camellias, Peonies, and several trees.
Trish’s love for her yard is very evident as you walk throughout the entire area,” the release said.
