Olive Johnson

Olive Johnson, 94, of Hot Springs, passed away May 4, 2022. She was born Aug. 25, 1927, in Tupelo, Miss., to James and Birdie (Remmar) Phillips. Olive enjoyed flower gardening and was a lifelong student of God’s word. She was a founding member of the Everlasting Gospel Pentecostal Lighthouse, where she faithfully attended for over 65 years.

Olive is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Johnson; son, James W. Johnson; and six siblings.

Loving survivors include sons, John Johnson (Sharon), Danny Johnson (Jan), Sammy Johnson (Diane); daughters, Beverly White (Ross), Brenda Lavender (Donnie); daughter in-law, Norma Johnson; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Caruthhale Life Celebration Center, 2529 Airport Road. A celebration of Olive’s life will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the same facility, with Pastor Andrew Gonzalez officiating.

Burial will follow in Crestview.
