ACLU staff attorney to address NAACP

The Hot Springs Branch of the NAACP, Unit No. 6013, will hold its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. Saturday on Zoom with Sarah Everett, a staff attorney with the ACLU of Arkansas, as guest speaker.

Everett received her Juris Doctorate at the University of Minnesota Law School. During her law school career, Everett clerked for the ACLU of Arkansas, the Ramsey County Minnesota public defender’s office, the Civil Rights division of the U.S. attorney’s office for the District of Minnesota, and the Arkansas Public Defender Commission, a news release said.

“As an attorney at the ACLU of Arkansas, Sarah has worked on a variety of issues including criminal legal reform, voting, and LGBTQ rights,” it said.
