JESSIEVILLE, Ark. — Darrell Joseph Ault Jr. (“Joey”), 55, of Jessieville, Ark., moved on to his heavenly home on Sept. 13, 2022. He was born in Durango, Colo., on Jan. 21, 1967.

He came to Arkansas in 1971 at the age of four, grew up in Jessieville and graduated from Jessieville High School in 1985. He called Jessieville home his entire life.

Joey leaves behind parents, Darrell and Mary Etta Ault of Jessieville; children Kaylen White (Dustin) of Benton; Emma Jones (Chris) of Lonsdale; Darrell J. Ault III (or “Little Joe”), of Jessieville; grandchildren Jayson and Ryder White and Logan and Leah Jones, and their grandmother Hope Howard; wife Jackie Ault; sister Sherrie Short (David) of Vilonia; brother Greg Ault (Debbie) of Jessieville; a niece, three nephews, a great niece and nephew, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and massive extended family as well as many friends.

“Joey”, as he was known to his family and friends, was a builder and welder by trade and was well known for his creative work building decorative gates and handrails. He loved the Lord, his family and horses. He was a very “hands on” Grandpa and enjoyed helping his grandkids learn to rodeo. Joey traveled the state performing his “Running Circles” horse ministry relating his and the horse’s relationship to ours with Christ. He loved training horses. His kids said that he fed his horses better than he fed himself - $30 for horse feed and 99 cents for hot dogs!

Joey grew up in church at Marble Missionary Baptist Church of Jessieville. He’s been in church his entire life, and most recently was an active member of Circle Cross Cowboy Church at Glenwood. We know that he was ready to meet his Savior. Joey said many times, “If I don’t wake up tomorrow, I’m better off than you.”

The family invites you to attend a memorial service at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, 2022. Services will be held at Glazier Peau Missionary Baptist Church, 1463 Brookhill Ranch Road, Hot Springs Village, Ark. A private burial will be held at a future date.
