Generator draws inside other speed, allowing Court to place him on or just off lead, depending who else wants front, both races at meet have been solid. Primer Dimer, second start off Asmussen claim, also has front-end speed but can come from just off pace. Boldish, claiming for $32K at Churchill in late September, has stalking style that should serve him well, huge class drop and 80-day rest arouse concerns. Bourbon Bash faltered in only previous two-turn race — a Grade 1 stake in Kentucky — but should be factor from start to finish. Protege shows three works since Dec. 17 thirdplace finish going two turns. Vigorish, another from Asmussen barn, shows six works since winning spring debut at Remington in November. Blinkers on: Gunflash. Eighth race, 4:10 p.m.: Purse $49,000, 3-year-olds and up, non-winners of two races, claiming $50,000, six furlongs. 12. Concept (Santana/S. Asmussen) 5-2, 123 8. Vance) 7-2, 123 Concept led into stretch at Fair Grounds in which winner earned a 94 Beyer Speed Figure, four works for Asmussen before second start off nine-month rest. Commander Carl broke maiden for $50K at Santa Anita in November and privately purchased after sixth at Los Alamitos in December, three works for Diodoro barn, which does well with SoCal claims and purchases. Breslau shows four works after $30K claim by Contreras, whose horses do well with Arrieta aboard. Deus Ex Machina back in claiming ranks after outrun Jan. 20 in one of meeting’s fastest 6f races. Ninth race, 4:42 p.m.: Purse $250,000, Grade 3 Bayakoa, fillies and mares 4-year-olds and up, 1 1/16 miles. 6. Le Da Vida (Cheminaud/Correas) 7-2, 121 7. Lovely Ride (Torres/Diodoro) 3-1, 124 3. Ice Orchid (Santana/Ortiz) 4-1, 121 5. Graysonsmacho Gal (G. Saez/Ortiz) 15-1, 117 1. A Mo Reay (Geroux/B. Cox) 5-2, 121 2. Guana Cay (Arrieta/Foster) 20-1, 121 4. Powder River (Cabrera/N. Casse) 5-1, 121 Le Da Vida third in Pippin when one-two finishers ran that way all around the track, sitting on breakthrough effort if Graysonsmacho Gal pressures likely favorite. Lovely Ride goes for third stakes victory of meet, draws outside but know that she doesn’t need lead through will be just off pace. Ice Orchid took step forward in Pippin but couldn’t get past Lovely Ride, another step foward required. Graysonsmacho Gal bottled at start in betterthan-it-looked effort in Pippin, dangerous if Lovely Ride doesn’t break or run her race. Powder River and A Mo Reay are Fair Grounds shippers with notable connections and can expect betting support. No medication: Ice Orchid. Tenth race, 5:14 p.m.: Purse $90,000, Arkansas-bred maiden 3- and 4-year-olds, six furlongs. 11. Classy Socks (G. Saez/T. Vance) 6-1, 125 4. Great Barrier (Santana/Ortiz) 15-1, 119 2. Stuck N Snow (Quinonez/D.K. Von Hemel) 7-2, 119 6. Shake Up (Juarez/Calhoun) 10-1, 119 1. Willow Creek Road (Gallardo/Robertson) 4-1, 125 3. Boliver (Bejarano/Moquett) 15-1, 119 5. Hacker (Pusac/T. Martin) 20-1, 125 7. Colonel Barton (Baze/Puhich) 12-1, 125 8. Kissofthenile (K. Jordan/Villafranco) 8-1, 125 9. Pearcy Road (Torres/Prather) 5-1, 1119 10. Skyped (C. Borel/R. Borel) 5-1, 125 12. Singing Groom (Wales/Hornsby) 50-1, 125 ae-13. Four Dice (Medellin/Soto) 30-1, -114 ae-14. Peripatetic (Cabrera/Litfin) 30-1, 125 Classy Socks set and pressed exceptionally fast fractions before faltering in deep stretch Jan. 13, not sure what adding blinkers will have unless to combat him from drifting out as he did last time. Great Barrier has been gelded and shows nine works since Keeneland race in October, Ortiz runners often improve in second career start. Stuck N Snow, a March foal, is one of five 3YOs entered here, speedy enough to stay just on or off pace and should contend strongly if rail is place to be. Shake Up’s late run Jan. 13 might have looked better to eye than it was because leaders slowed considerably in final furlong, gelding went for $285,000 as 2YO at Ocala and galloped out strongly, may need two turns but worth long look here. First-time bleeder medication: Willow Creek Road, Boliver, Great Barrier, Singing Groom. First start since reported as gelding: Great Barrier. Blinkers on: Skyped, Classy Socks, Four Dice.
