Betty Jo Boone gained her angel wings on Jan. 30, 2023, after a yearlong battle with cancer.

She was born Dec. 14, 1967, to Joe and Peggy (Rucker) Wallace in Danville, Ark. She graduated from Cutter Morning Star and married the love of her life, Rick, in 1987 and they had the real pride and joys of her life, her three boys. She loved to go to the beach, camp on the lake and fish. She was an avid Razorback fan, but loved baseball and basketball the most. She also had a love for animals, especially her latest fur babies, Odin, Max (dogs), and Keo (cat).

She was preceded in death by her father; grandmothe­r, Allie Rucker; and brother, Bill Wallace.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Rick; sons, Joshua, Logan (Mariah) and Austin; mother, Peggy Wallace; mother-in-law, Mary Boone; sisters, Christy Ross, Debbie Sanchez (Tony); brother, Ronnie Wallace; brothers-in-law, Scott (Karen), Brian (Jill) and Jason (Heather); along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank all her friends and co-workers at Walmart, Sam’s and Neighborho­od Market, where she worked for 30-plus years, for all they have done, Dr. Fred Divers and the staff at Genesis Cancer Center, Dr. David Pruitt and his staff at CHI St. Vincent radiation, all the doctors, nurses and their staff at the Mayo Clinic and CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs.

A celebratio­n of Betty’s life will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, at Oaklawn United Methodist Church in Hot Springs.
