HSBOR MISSION STATEMENT

The Hot Springs Board of REALTORS® Chartered in 1921. Our goal is to provide leadership, education, technology, and support for all members, to enhance the professional standards of the Real Estate profession, and to elevate our membership to better serve the consumer, support our communities, and protect private property rights.

The Hot Springs Board of REALTORS® was awarded the 2022 Community Service Award as the Organization of the Year by the Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce for their service and contributions to the community of Hot Springs. The Hot Springs Board of REALTORS® was pleased and honored to accept this award. We want to congratulate the other sixteen dedicated organizations that were nominated in this category.

CANS FOR KIDS

For 30 years, The Hot Springs Board of REALTORS® has raised funds for this backpack program, started by a local REALTOR®. The Hot Springs Board of REALTORS’® mission is to partner with the area schools to help fight childhood hunger in Garland County, where the child food insecurity rate is 66.4% higher than the national average. This program was designed to meet the needs of hungry children that are not receiving proper nutrition or meals at home, at times when other resources are not available, such as on weekends and school vacations. In 2022, The Hot Springs Board of REALTORS® raised $23,900.00 and distributed food to 15 local schools. In the last 10 years we have raised over $177,000.00.

COATS FOR KIDS/ADULTS

Each year, The Hot Springs Board of REALTORS® holds an event called Coats for Kids/adults. We ask the members to donate new or used coats that have been sanitized to be distributed to area schools and local shelters. We had well over 100 coats that were distributed this year.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS ARKANSAS

REALTORS® across Arkansas have been supporting Special Olympics Arkansas since 1986. We are honored to have helped raise over $2,000,000 for Special Olympics Arkansas. That is more than any other organization raises for these amazing athletes! In 2022, the Hot Springs Board of REALTORS® hosted a BAGGO Tournament where we had a great time working as a team with our affiliates to raise funds for these deserving athletes to travel and participate in their events! We have had many of these athletes to come and join us at our events too! This year, The Hot Springs Board of REALTORS® was able to give $7,500.00 to Special Olympics Arkansas. One event near and dear to our hearts is not a fundraiser for Special Olympics Arkansas, but a “FUN” raiser! For 25 years, The Hot Springs Board of REALTORS® has partnered with Arkansas Game and Fish at Family Park to host our Special Olympics Fishing Derby. The Arkansas Game and Fish stocks the pond at Family Park with hundreds of catchable catfish. Over 300 children, teachers and staff from all Garland County schools (and some beyond), come to spend the morning fishing. REALTORS® and our awesome affiliates help kids to fish and serve them a great catfish and hot dog lunch. Every child wins a prize. Everyone involved in that day walks away with a smile!

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

The Hot Springs Board of REALTORS® gratefully presented a check to Habitat for Humanity in the amount of $6,010.47 to go toward a new build. The Hot Springs Board has a REALTOR® build each year to help with the building of a new home. We try to help several times a year with a build in Hot Springs.
